Aaron La Plante - Co-Founder, Director of Project Management
Aaron La Plante’s career in construction spans more than 25 years, progressing from the trades into field leadership, estimating and project management. He spent seven years as a structural carpenter before spending the next 18 years in architectural sheet metal and building envelope systems, including 12 years as a foreman leading crews on complex, multi-million-dollar projects.
His experience has often required developing new installation methods or adapting conventional approaches to achieve the desired appearance and function. While his primary role at Ensconce is estimating and project management, he continues to draw on his field experience when needed, periodically working alongside crews to help address challenging details and ensure projects are executed to the expected standards.
Aaron holds an Architectural Sheet Metal certification through the ITA and RCABC, as well as a Certificate in Advanced Project Management. His extensive first aid and safety training, experience serving on safety committees, and previous service as a volunteer firefighter and licensed Emergency Medical Responder have further developed his ability to recognize risks, plan effectively and maintain a strong focus on safety throughout a project.
As a Director and owner of Ensconce Systems, Aaron founded the company alongside Loic with the goal of building a stronger business together and creating a more personal approach to construction. He believes in developing lasting relationships with clients through clear communication, technical expertise and a genuine investment in the success of every project.

Loic Fredette - Co-Founder, Director of Edmonton Operations
Loic Fredette’s connection to construction began at an early age, growing up in a family of tradesmen where he was surrounded by the industry from childhood. Over the past 25 years, he has built his career in architectural cladding, developing the hands-on knowledge, technical expertise and perspective that come from years spent in the field.
Cladding is more than a profession to Loic—it is something he lives and breathes. His passion for the trade, combined with his practical understanding of construction, has shaped the way he approaches every project.
After years working in the cladding industry, Loic founded Ensconce Systems with a simple purpose: to build a company around the lessons he had learned throughout his career and provide customers with the level of workmanship, communication and care he believes every project deserves.
Stelios Papanicolaou - Director of Vancouver Operations
With more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry, Stelios Papanicolaou brings advanced technical knowledge, field experience and leadership to Ensconce Systems. His background spans renovations, architectural cladding and development management. Leveraging his deep industry experience, he possesses a comprehensive understanding of the construction life-cycle, from the initial concept phase straight through to final occupancy.
Early in his career, Stelios began flipping numerous homes, gaining hands-on experience across virtually every stage of construction. He quickly learned how to excel under tight schedules and strict budgets without ever compromising on quality craftsmanship. He later advanced to Site Supervisor at one of Canada’s leading building envelope contractors, where he contributed to a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from small-scale builds to landmark developments valued in excess of $1 billion.
Equipped with two trade tickets, including a Skilled TradesBC certification in Architectural Sheet Metal, Stelios pairs profound technical mastery with a practical, solutions- driven mind set. His ability to think outside the box helps him navigate and solve complex project challenges. His background empowers him to approach demanding projects with confidence and develop solutions, where conventional approaches may not be sufficient.
At Ensconce Systems, Stelios helps lead the delivery of dependable, high-quality building envelope solutions. He collaborates closely with project partners to guarantee every project is executed with precision, clear communication and accountability.
